The organization has been on erosion monitoring and has been feeding relevant agencies on future occurrence and best control practice.
Over the years, NextGen had conducted extensive researches and surveys globally to ascertain the causes and remedies to this global issue and came up with viable solutions that will help in fostering a stable ecosystem. Towards eliminating this global issue, we have engaged in sensitization, training and implementation of our solutions. Through the course of this project, NextGen had received State-wide recognition and commendation for its work so far and are expanding nationally and globally. Afterwards, a proposal on our projects was presented to the Ministry of Environment who encouraged it, offered collaboration and requested for an extensive research that can be implemented nationwide. Some of our activities and achievements so far are as follows;
With approval from Ihiala Local Government, this workshop was showcased at the grassroots to sensitize the masses on the need for healthy practices that ensures a sustainable environment. Secondary Schools students in the local government area were sensitized on the need for planting trees on depleted soil and how to plant these trees to prevent flooding within the school premises. In this program, the public were sensitized on the need to sustain the number of trees present in our environment. Each felled tree is replaced with five newly planted ones in a projected schedule i.e. if one wish to fell an existing tree in three years’ time, he/she should plant five now. Also, endangered species should be planted ten times to replace the one to be felled. We are doing this in collaboration with students at various level of education.
In the same vein, women in Anambra State were sensitized at the markets on how to eliminate or at least minimize carbon (IV) oxide emission, through the use of a special cooker called “clean cook stove”. This can be included as part of our INDC.
In order to remove blockage to the drainage system within the Local Government, NextGen employed the services of community women, some of whom are volunteers.
We offered relief materials to the victims and assisted in saving and conveying their animals and properties in Anambra state.
Due to poverty and hunger many Nigerians cut trees and use then to form charcoal for sale, we go to the vendors of charcoal and sensitize them on the negative effect of their product that leads to climate change and change their business idea by training then on the manufacture of clean cook stove and refilling of gas (LPG).

We pass an oral message in form of advert to the local radio stations through which the masses get a reminder and council about climate change.
The organization has been holding lectures in form of campaign in many universities of the federation sensitizing them on climate change and its effect.
At the same vein, in October 2014 we stated a micro generation project aimed at using solar energy to power businesses and houses in rural community in some local governments, a project which we term one of our best priorities.
We thank Nedustellas Resource and UNEP for their extensive support on our programs
